About this Blog

In September 1932 my Grandmother Mary Ormiston, aged 18, went on holiday with her friend Norah Eastman to Fort William, Scotland.  The travel company representative, Terrick FitzHugh was to become her husband and my Grandfather.

In this blog I will post their letters, 80 years after they were first written.  I hope to be able to add photos as well.

Initially she didn't keep his letters so the correspondence is rather one-sided but he, being a budding genealogist even then, soon convinced her of the benefit of keeping the letters.
